A Tribute

Dr.H.M. Gangadharaiah was born on 6th October 1949. He obtained basic B.Sc Nursing in 1975 at Govt College of Nursing, Bangalore & M.Sc Nursing from PGI Chandigarh in 1983. He was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in 1995 from Bangalore University.

He joined NIMHANS as Psychiatric nurse on 18th July 1976. He worked in various capacities as Psychiatric Nurse, Psychiatric tutor, lecturer in Psychiatric nursing, Assistant professor, Associate professor & Additional Professor. He was also served as head of the Department of Nursing between 29-12-2000 to 10-5-2002.

He has written many papers on issues in Nursing. He is founder president of ISPN. During his regime one workshop and two conference of ISPN at Bangalore & Mysore were conducted. ISPN and dept of NIMHANS is at loss on his sad demines on 11-7-2003. May God shower peace on him & give enough strength to family members to been the loss.
