The eligibility for becoming an member for this Organization is as follows


1.Life Membership

  • Should posses diploma in psychiatric nursing. or
  • MSc in psychiatric nursing or
  • P.hd in psychiatric nursing
  • Life Membership - Rs.1000/-

2.Associate Life Membership

  • Any other Post Graduate specialties in nursing are eligible to become associate life members.
  • Associate Life Membership Fee - Rs.650/-

3.Foreign Membership fee

  • Foreign Life Membership - $500
  • Foreign Associate Life Membership - $300

       So far the ISPN has successfully organized few workshops on dementia, and neuropsychiatric problems and 6 Annual National conferences.

  • 1st National conference at NIMHANS Bangalore in 2002 on the theme “Child Psychiatric Nursing”.
  • 2nd at JSS College of nursing Mysore, in 2002 on “Mental Health, Sexuality and Psychiatric Nursing”.
  • 3rd at Savitha college of nursing in Chennai in 2004 on “women’s mental health: psychiatric nursing perspective”.
  • 4th and the 1st International conference at NIMHANS Bangalore in 2005 on Adolescent mental health issues and problems: psychiatric nursing perspective.
  • 5th conference on Geriatric mental health problems: psychiatric Nursing perspective at Mangalore in 2006.
  • The 6th being at the college of nursing, Dayananda medical college and hospital Ludhiana, on the theme “Substance Abuse and Psychiatric Nursing perspective”.
