Welcome To ISPN [ Indian Society Of Psychiatric Nurses ] (Reg.)

          ISPN started in the year of 1991 with a motive of

  • Enhancing the advanced knowledge and skills in the field of MH.psychiatric nursing.
  • To provide platform for discussion and deliberation on evidence based practice.
  • To create awareness and to translate the research findings in MH nursing practice.

          ISPN was registered under the co-operative society act in 1991 at Bangalore, Under the guidance of Dr. K. Reddemma, First year only about 50 members were enrolled with an annual membership fee of Rs. 50. Late Dr.H.M. Gangadharaiah was the first President of ISPN. Then the Executive-committee in its one of the meeting in later part of 1992 fixed Rs.250 as life membership and same is increased to Rs.510 in the year of 2000.  And in the year 2006, the life membership fee is increased toRs.760 and the associated life membership fee for Rs. 510. 

          The enrollment of membership though initially was very slow, it steadily increased at present, there are 535 life members including 53 associate life members.
